Ocean Basket

Ocean Basket is a popular seafood restaurant with locations across South Africa and the rest of Africa. I helped them manage their data by building tools to aggregate and consolidate information from all their restaurants. This included creating reports in Power BI to visualize sales trends, popular menu items, and regional performance. I also used .NET to manage the databases and get all that information into the reports. Additionally, I updated and built components for their Umbraco platform, like menu displays and location finders. I used SQL to optimise database performance, including indexing and query optimisation. I also used SQL to generate the reports in Power BI, creating custom queries to pull specific data for visualisations. I used custom functions in SQL to filter and aggregate the data for the reports. Overall, my work helped Ocean Basket make better business decisions based on their data.
