Tsogo Sun

The Tsogo Sun project involved a complete rebuild and modernisation of their mobile application. Taking over from another team, we addressed performance issues like system slowness by implementing robust monitoring and bottleneck identification strategies. The rebuild, developed with Flutter, integrated seamlessly with their Strapi CMS for content management and a custom Node.js backend for casino and point systems. Key features included hotel bookings and online loyalty point access. Challenges included aggregating fragmented casino data, requiring smart caching and data strategies, and ensuring smooth performance under high user loads through rigorous load testing. Post-launch, we effectively managed a bug fix and rollout, demonstrating our ability to handle critical issues and maintain user experience. This project highlighted the importance of selecting the right tech stack for optimal performance and our expertise in complex system integrations.
